Combining the botanical landscapes and the fun Ride Attractions that Paulton’s is known for, we created a real-life creature enclosure, as well as a whole new Ride Attraction for the Park. Inventing a strong story-line and characters to match, Critter Creek is a real success. Our client returned to us to help them design a brand new bespoke visitor attraction that would recycle an existing roller coaster attraction. Paulton’s Park is renowned for its botanical landscaping and wildlife as much as the fun ride attractions that populate it. Critter Creek is a landscape of fantastical hybrid creatures. We had previously created 'Professor Blasts Laboratory' attraction. An educational arena that featured an eccentric blundering Professor as its host. The new landscape we created became an extension of this story-line where the inhabitants were the result of the Professors' experiments. The architectural elements were influenced by all things 19th Century, reflecting an eccentric, botanical Britain. The final result was quite magical; we created a real-life creature enclosure inside huge tree stump environment. Alongside this, stands a Victorian Potting Shed-inspired boarding station that takes its visitors on a roller coaster journey through a land of mystical beasts.
