How KD Became BITE UK

In 1977, KD Decoratives opened its doors to the world stage of seasonal decorations in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

Headed by Richard Kitchen-Dunn a seasoned retail Christmas display specialist, his wife and family.

The company quickly became renowned as the UK’s leading supplier of Christmas Displays and Animation covering a customer base of Shopping centres, Retail stores, Theme Parks and Cruise ships. The company’s reputation for delivering quality solutions and products led to a marriage with its premiere supplier of lighting products, Blachere Illumination.

Since its inception in 2015, Blachere Illumination Themed Environments Division (BITE) has accomplished even more in the realm of Decorative Environments and Visitor Attractions. The excellent pairing of our Decorative Lighting expertise inherited from Blachere and our Innovative Flare for Cutting-Edge Design has enabled us to create and install some of the UK’s most prestigious Seasonal lighting landscapes, both indoor and outdoor.
