What are Christmas lights and what do they mean to you?
I don’t want an answer. Just hold that thought in your mind. Now the reason for not wanting an answer is because everyone will have a different one.
Christmas Lights to you may conjure up memories of seeing your first Christmas tree all shimmering and glistening. Or it may be a dance you went to in a hall all decorated with coloured lights and garlands. Or it could be the sight of an older relative sitting cross-legged in the centre of the living room floor surrounded by coloured glass and a tangle of green flex – trying to find that 1 faulty bulb.
Whatever the thought is, it’s sure to be different for everyone. Not just for you, but for every man, woman and child in your town. This gives you an insight into the enormity of the task that is Christmas Lights. The general public, in the main, is oblivious to the costs and the effort that goes into a Christmas lighting display.
